Superhero Rewards Program

The Superhero Rewards Program pays AE for promoting Superhero on X. You link your X account to your on-chain SuperheroID, post about Superhero, and the backend scans your posts and sends AE to your connected wallet.

This is not the affiliate program. Affiliate rewards come from trading fees and are withdrawn from a contract. See The Affiliation System.

Where it lives

The program is at the top of https://superhero.com/trends/invite, above the Refer & Earn cards. Connect your wallet first; nothing on the page tracks progress without an active account.

Milestone 1: Link X Account & Post

Reward: 50 AE. Two steps, both of which must complete before milestone 2 opens.

StepWhat you do
1Link your X account to your on-chain SuperheroID. The button sends you to your profile page at /users/<your address>.
2Post about Superhero from that linked account. The post must mention Superhero: either a superhero.com link or a tag of @superhero_chain.

The app pre-fills the compose intent with:

Check out @superhero_chain — earn AE tokens by posting on X! https://superhero.com
  • Your X account must have at least 100 followers. Accounts under that threshold are not eligible.
  • Milestone 1 is a regular post and does not need your referral link. Only milestone 2 requires the link.

Linking X also sets up your SuperheroID profile. See SuperheroID and X verification.

Milestone 2: Post on X & Earn

Reward: 10–30 AE per qualifying post, plus a 50 AE streak bonus. Locked until milestone 1 is paid.

Every post must contain your unique referral link in the post text. The link is minted for you the first time you press "Post on X" on the rewards card; the app fetches it, then opens an X compose intent pre-filled with:

Check out @superhero_chain — earn AE tokens by posting on X! <your referral link>

Your per-post rate is set by your follower count:

Follower countPer qualifying post
Under 100Not eligible
100 – 10,00010 AE
10,000 – 1,000,00020 AE
Over 1,000,00030 AE

Two counters run on this milestone:

  • Posts rewarded: the card tracks progress toward 10 rewarded posts and reads "completed" at 10.
  • Streak: posting on 10 consecutive days earns an extra 50 AE. The card shows your current streak out of 10 days. The bonus is recurring: when the streak reaches 10 it pays out and the counter resets, so the next streak starts from zero.

At the base tier, milestone 1 plus 10 posts plus one streak bonus adds up to 200 AE: 50 AE + 10 × 10 AE + 50 AE. Earnings continue past that at one rewarded post per UTC day.

The three payout paths

PathTriggerFrequency
OnboardingYour first post containing superhero.com or superhero_chainOne-time
Per-postA post containing your referral linkOnce per UTC day, at your follower tier's rate
Streak bonus10 consecutive UTC days of referral postsRecurring: the counter resets and starts again

An account below the minimum follower count accrues nothing (no qualifying posts, no per-post rewards, no streak progress), though already-accrued payouts still settle.

What counts as a qualifying post

  • Referral posts are matched on the host. A URL in the post must have host superhero.com and a ?ref= query parameter equal to your referral code, case-insensitively. X's truncated display_url values are accepted only when they start with superhero.com followed by /, ?, # or the end of the string, so evil.com/?u=superhero.com&ref=<code> and superhero.com.evil.com/?ref=<code> do not qualify.
  • One rewarded post per UTC day. A second referral post on the same UTC day earns nothing. A tweet whose created_at cannot be parsed into a UTC day earns nothing either.
  • A streak day is a UTC day. The streak increments only when a qualifying day is exactly one after the last qualifying day. Any larger gap resets the streak to 1. The streak is anchored to UTC midnight, not to your local time or to 24-hour spacing.
  • Old posts fall off the back. A scan covers the 2,000 newest tweets and advances a forward-only cursor even when it truncates, so posts older than that are never counted. The status response reports this as x_posts_scan_truncated.
  • Nothing is clawed back. Payouts are on-chain AE spends and the ledger is insert-only. Deleting a tweet after it has been rewarded stops it appearing in future scans but does not reclaim the AE.

How verification works

Nothing here is on-chain until the payout. The flow is a signed request to the Superhero backend, which scans X on your behalf.

  1. The rewards card calls GET /api/profile/<address>/x-posting-reward on load and renders your status, rewarded post count, streak, follower count, tier and referral link.
  2. Pressing Check rewards requests a challenge from POST /api/profile/x-posting-reward/recheck-challenge. The response carries a nonce, an expiry and a message.
  3. Your wallet signs that message. The signature, nonce and expiry are submitted to POST /api/profile/<address>/x-posting-reward/recheck, which runs the scan and returns your updated status.
  4. Minting the referral link uses the same signed proof against POST /api/profile/<address>/x-reward/referral-link.

The recheck is rate-limited to one scan per 24 hours. The status response carries next_check_allowed_at; until that timestamp passes the button is disabled and shows a countdown. A submit past the cap returns HTTP 429 and the scan is skipped. The cap is claimed atomically, so retries and concurrent requests cannot exceed it.

  • A handled scan failure, such as an X outage, still consumes the slot. An unexpected failure such as a database error releases it.
  • Recovering a pending or failed payout never calls X, so it runs before the cap check. A recheck that finds a stuck payout can settle it even while the scan itself is cooling down.

A successful check can still pay nothing. A recheck that returns HTTP 200 may carry an error string explaining why no reward was sent: below the follower minimum, the X identity was already rewarded on another address, or the payout transaction failed. The card shows that string as a red banner.

Payouts are automatic. AE is sent to your connected wallet by the backend; there is no claim transaction and no gas cost to you. See Claiming Rewards for the rewards that do need a transaction.

Eligibility

The program is discretionary: rewards are not guaranteed, the program can be paused at any time, and users from restricted regions are not eligible. The full terms are shown at the foot of the rewards page. Rewards may be reportable as income.
